Freddy Adu has started his “tryout” with Premiership team Manchester United this Monday.

The 17 year old Adu reportedly trained with players from the youth squad while the top players traveled to Glasgow for their game against Celtic.

Adu, will train with Manchester United Club for two weeks where he hopes to draw enough attention to his potential as a soccer star as he can and gain a spot on the Man U roster.

Freddy Adu showed the world why he’s headed off to train with Manchester United today. In a game against Guatemala Freddy Adu played with his flashy brilliance and helped the United States win 2-1.

After falling behind early Freddy Adu scored in the beginning of the second half to tie the game up and then with only 4 minutes remaining, Anthony Wallace scored the go ahead goal to seal the victory for the US.

Freddy Adu will now have two weeks to show Premiership Powerhouse Manchester United, why he sould wear their uni.

Freddy Adu left this week for two weeks of training with Premiership powerhouse Manchester United.

If Freddy Adu is going to turn into the amazing soccer player that everyone in the world feels he can be he’s going to need to play with some of the best in the world. The best are in Europe, the best play with Manchester United, or they play against them.

Freddy Adu will start his training next week and will get a chance to finally bumps heads with Wayne Rooney amongst others. Hopefully he will show them that he has the ability to become the great soccer player everyone wants him to become.

The 17-year-old Freddy Adu just recently felt defeat in the MLS league as D.C. United was knocked out of the MLS playoff by the Revolution.

TODAYonline just reported that soccer superstar Freddy Adu is on Manchester United’s Radar and will be visiting the team in the near future. This coming just days after D.C. United’s loss in the MLS playoffs.

If Freddy Adu were to go to the Premiership team of Manchester United he would need and exemption from FIFA due to the fact that the young soccer start doesn’t turn 18 until next June. The FIFA rules prevent an international transfer before a player turns 18 years old.

Freddy Adu has wanted to play in Europe and may finally get his chance with one of Europes most prestigious teams. Playing with that kind of competition would surly help turn Adu into the soccer star that everyone has thought of him since he was 12 years old and came to the United States.

It would also mean a change of colors around this blog which has adapted itself to D.C. United colors over the past week.

Freddy Adu was subbed out of D.C. United’s playoff game against the Revolution early in the second half. By most accounts around the MLS world, D.C. United played a great game, but they were unable to capitalize on their good play.

The Revolution had one shot on goal all night, coming early in the first, and to the surprise of the 19,000+ in attendance, a score. They themselves produced 18 shots on goal but were unable to convert on any of them. Freddy Adu had what looked like the best shot of the night when he poked one towards the upper-left corner and the Rev goalie made an out of his mind stop to prevent the tieing goal.

Then to the surprise of many, after what appeared to be a stellar game for the young Freddy Adu coach Nowak subbed Matias Donnet in the 65th minute for Adu. With Adu out, that changed the pace of the game and the Revolution were able to wind down the clock and come out victorious to move on to the finals.

Although Nowak said he wanted fresh legs in the game and that was the reason for the substitute it came at an unusual time sparking debate over whether the substitution was just a stab at rumors that Freddy Adu might be moving to play in Europe.

Freddy Adu and DC United won their first playoff game 1-0 against the New York Red Bulls and came into their second game looking to easily move on to the second round. However their fate didn’t look too good early in the game.

During the first half of play DC United was sloppy, botching crosses and making bad decisions. But the Red Bulls couldn’t take advantage of the early mistakes, unable to score in the first half. Freddy Adu was once again denied a penalty call as the Red Bull goal keeper tripped him up by his ankles and Adu tapped the ball towards the goal just missing, without a call.

Red Bull Youngster Josmer Altidore scored the first goal of the game with a header to the left corner of the goal to give the game it’s first score. Then late in the game, Christian Gomez scored to give DC United a 1-1 tie in the game but a 2-1 lead on aggregate overall in the series.

DC United held off the Red Bulls for the remaining time to end the game and move on. They play the New England Revolution at 4 p.m. eastern time on Sunday November 5th.

Freddy Adu was a solid anchor in his first MLS playoff start for the D.C. United. Playing against the New York Red Bulls, Freddy Adu was excited to to be starting in his first playoff game and feels as though he’s a “big part of the team’s offense.”

In his first playoff start Freddy Adu had 3 shots on goal with one garnering a gasp from the crowd he lobbed it from the right side just missing a brilliant shot attempt.

The days only goal came from D.C. United’s MVP hopeful Christian Gomez on a give and go from Jaime Moreno.

Freddy Adu and D.C. United play New York once again on Sunday October 29th.

Freddy Adu, the 17 year old soccer phenom from Ghana amazed a crowd in Michigan with his dribbling and shooting skills.

Freddy Adu displayed why he has so much hype behind his name at the Disney Mobile Skills and Drills Challenge earlier this month by hitting targets at will and performing dribbling manuevers that would make and soccer die-hard be amazed.

Hundreds of people watched as Freddy Adu and others from the MLS dazzled the crowd and and then stuck around and signed autographs for anyone who wanted one. Freddy Adu is about to enter into the playoffs of the MLS and is enjoying every minute of it.

With the recent talk of Freddy Adu Heading to Reading it’s been more of a when and where rather than an if Freddy Adu will make the move to play in Europe when the MLS season gets over.

Originally there was talk of UK’s Reading loaning Adu from DC United to finish out the European season, and possibly buy his rights outright to play permanently for Reading but now we just found a report, be as it may that it’s from a Ghana newspaper, but Freddy Adu is rumored to have Chelseea Manchester United and Real Madrid all courting the young soccer star.

The Statesman out of Ghana just reported that UK’s News of the World has made it known that the three soccer powerhouses, Chealsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all looking for the young Freddy Adu to sign on the dotted line and play football with them.

The U.S. National U-20 team was captained by Freddy Adu this past week to a huge 5-1 win over Haiti’s U-23 team. The game, held in Sunrise Florida, saw goals by Michael Bradley, Miguel Gonzalez, Johann Smith, Tim Ward, and Dax McCarty.

Dax McCarty’s score came on a penalty kick while the American’s were playing with just 10 players.

Although Freddy Adu didn’t score in his first game as U.S. captain he did manage to shine as he always does with his great offensive dribbling skills.
